Visiting the Food Bank

When Can I Come?

The Food Bank is open Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 pm – 3:30 pm for regular assistance.  If you are in an emergency situation outside of these hours, but during regular business hours, please contact us at 905-871-1592.

What Will Happen When I Arrive?

When you enter our facility, please go upstairs for registration.  Our friendly intake workers will help determine your family’s needs as well as gather important information which will allow us to serve you and Fort Erie better.  You will be given points based on the number of persons in your household.  You will then be invited into the food bank to shop for the foods your family would like to eat.  Perishables are in addition to your points, so make sure to bring a number of bags.

What Should I Bring?

Every visit, new and returning clients should bring:

  • identification for every member of the household

  • proof of current income for each earner

  • grocery bags to carry your food.

How Often Can I Come?

Full assistance is available once each calendar month.
