Visiting the Food Bank

When Can I Come?

The Food Bank is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 pm – 3:30 pm for regular assistance.  If you are in an emergency situation outside of these hours please contact us at 905-871-1592 ext. 22.

What Will Happen When I Arrive?

When you enter our facility, please go to the basement for registration.  Our friendly intake workers will help determine your family’s needs as well as gather important information which will allow us to serve you and Fort Erie better.  You will be given points based on the number of persons in your household.  You will then be invited into the food bank to shop for the foods your family would like to eat.  Perishables are in addition to your points, so make sure to bring a number of bags.

What Should I Bring?

Every visit, new and returning clients should bring:

  • identification for every member of the household
  • proof of current income for each earner
  • grocery bags to carry your food.

How Often Can I Come?

Full assistance is available once each calendar month .

For perishables only, you may also come any Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 3:30 - 4:00 pm for pizza, bread and other perishable items.  Please note perishables are dependent on donations of that day and are on a first come, first served basis.
